We can design architectural lighting for any new building. We work with Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) Lighting. This can save you 40% in energy costs!
What is POE Lighting?
LED architectural lighting has been around for years. Power-Over-Ethernet has also been around for years. Lighting companies have combined the two technologies to create “Smart Lighting”. This utilizes more powerful Ethernet switches to provide the power required for architectural lighting over standard Category 6 Ethernet cables. This allows lower expense for installation, as a licensed electrician does not need to install the system, and because lights are computer controlled, energy savings is realized.
Smart Lighting Revealed
Smart Lighting takes standard LED fixtures (a choice of over 50 existing fixtures) and replaces the driver (transformer) with a POE node. The POE node allows for power to the light and also allows for interconnection of light switches and occupancy sensors to provide input and feedback to the overall system. The computer can control all aspects of the light fixture, including dimming and (in some cases) the color temperature of the fixture.
